Anime may have been a niche interest decades ago, but the industry has turned into a war machine in recent years. A new rebirth has drawn attention to anime in the world United States, and each region has its own favorite series. For some, however, Naruto predominates and for others Sailor Moon ONE PIECE seems to outdo each other.
The information comes from CenturyLink quote, who did research on anime dates. Here the fans were told which anime series works best in the USA. After discovering search data for 100 of the most popular series in each state, the results were tallied and ONE PIECE ranked #1 in 25 states.

Of course, ONE PIECE has a lot of support in the US, but these dates have confused some fans. Finally, Eiichiro Oda’s series is certainly one of the greatest of anime’s golden age, but it has struggled to build a fan base in North America. The anime’s original English dubbing was a real flop, and Funimation still hasn’t gotten the same ONE PIECE support that Dragon Ball or Naruto enjoyed.
Obviously, this has caused some fans to wonder how this current data translates to fandom viewing habits, but the facts as we know them cannot be denied. ONE PIECE is the most searched anime in half of the United States.
