Luffy's dream of becoming the Pirate King has been praised since childhood as he still played alongside Ace and Sabo. Over the years, the brothers separated until the Marineford War ONE PIECE did not order the disappearance of Whitebeard's beloved and trusted subordinate.

If that fight had happened at this point in history, Luffy could have probably saved Ace.
