Netflix has focused heavily on anime in recent years. There’s no doubt that the US streaming platform isn’t living through a golden moment, but given anime’s recent excellent results on Netflix, understanding the potential of Japanese animation products could be crucial.

After these successes Studio Colorido and Netflix have announced a multi-year collaboration which will lead to the creation of 3 exclusive anime movies. We already know something about the first two: the first, which will be released on September 16, 2022, will be titled drive home and will be directed by Hiroyasu Ishida during the latter, one of which has also been revealed key visual which you can see at the bottom of the news will debut in 2024 and will be directed by Tobotaka Shibayama.

That Studio Colorido was founded in 2011 by Hideo Uda and has gained popularity over the years thanks to a in the Japanese animation world very simple and rounded design style, filled with light and bright colors.
