One of the characters who fell in love with Kishimoto’s work, and in particular the narrative arc of the Chunin Exam, is Gaara del Deserto. Finished fifth in Kazekage earlier this year Naruto Shippuden, Initially, the village ninja was the victim of the rampage. We relive his early days in this figure.

Young Gaara was introduced as a reckless boy, ready to kill anyone crossed his path. The sand ninja actually hated everyone, even his brother Kankuro, and threatened him with death several times. The only person who “kept him in check” was his sister Temari. There was, however, a very specific reason behind this limitless global hatred.

Gaara was a sustaining force, Shukaku’s Jinchuriki, the bicoda roof demon, and for this very reason, like Naruto, he was feared by his fellow citizens. However, unlike Konoha’s blonde ninja, Gaara was never able to find one someone who loved him. Even his family betrayed him. Naruto thought of saving Gaara from oblivion at the end of one of the most memorable battles in the first part of Kishimoto’s work.

Surge Studio’s collectible statue takes us back to when Gaara was a mad killer. In a rush of blood, Gaara is surrounded by his shield of sand, ready to celebrate the burial of the desert.

The 41 centimeter high figure, which can be pre-ordered for 360 euros, is hidden two unmissable gemstones for fans of this character. Above the sand shield is the third eye, a sand eye that Gaara can use to examine his opponents. At its feet, however, we find a representation of the Bicoda Shukaku.

The boy with the heartbreaking past returns in a Naruto cosplay. If you’d prefer it in a teenage version, here are Gaara and Shukaku in this Naruto character.
