Today, April 23, 2021, is the opening day of My Hero Academia: Drawing Smash, the gigantic art exhibition dedicated to the work of Kohei Horikoshi. The exhibition shows collection items of all kinds, from paintings and billboards to discarded manga tables and even exclusive illustrations, mainly made by the author of the manga.
Although seven major mangaka have been confirmed to attend, including Eiichiro Oda, Gege Akutami, and Tite Kubo, and despite the contribution of many other artists and animators from BONES, most of the works on display were designed by Kohei. Horikoshi, e Among these, there is one that has warmed the hearts of fans.
Below you can take a look at the author’s cute drawing in which Eri wears the Bakugo hero costume. The little girl was saved by Overhaul thanks to the intervention of Deku and Lemillion, and Horikoshi imagined what a future could be in which the little girl would become an apprentice to the quick-tempered, aspiring hero. The mangaka accompanied the drawing with the words “Eri-chan Kacchan”, as if it wanted to seal the connection between the two.
And what do you think of this design? You like it? Tell us in the comments! In the meantime, we’re leaving you with the first official spoilers of My Hero Academia 310, the new chapter to be released on MangaPlus on Sunday April 25th.
