Fujimaki published the original manga in the magazine Weekly shonen jump from the publisher Shueisha Between December 2008 and September 2014 the story was compiled in a total of 30 volumes. A second manga called Kurokos Basketball: Extra Game was published between December 2014 and March 2016 in only two volumes.
The piece inspired a 25-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios.
