Born from the free-to-play video game of the same name, developed by Nitroplus, the anime series by Katsugeki / Tougen Ranbu, which aired in 2017, had some success and convinced Ufotable to also produce a film to expand this narrative universe. Four years later the studio is back with new details.

Today, December 29th, 2021 actually on the official YouTube channel of Aniplex The short teaser you can see on the news above has been released which, while showing few sequences of excellent quality, simply confirms the ongoing production. No release dates or periods have been communicated, but in connection with the video the key visual below was also published.

The film was announced at the end of the anime's only season in September 2017. It is therefore quite a long production time, and Can only be justified to a limited extent for the work involved in the demon killer phenomenon and the various video games that saw Ufotable's direct post, including Tales of Arise, which was voted Best RPG at The Game Awards 2021.
