Summary of Kami Kuzu Idol

Yuuya, one half of boy-pop duo ZINGS, is perhaps the laziest artist in the Japanese music industry. His partner gives 110% every night (and is thankfully very popular), but Yuuya’s lackluster and sloppy dancing and downright hostile attitude toward the public make fans hate him, and his agent searches for an excuse to let him go. A pop idol’s career isn’t the path of easy leisure and flattery that Yuuya expected…

After a particularly sluggish concert performance, Yuuya meets a girl backstage. Dressed in a colorful outfit, she is full of energy and panache and all she wants from life is to act. There’s just one problem: she’s been dead for a year. It’s about the ghost of Asahi Mogami, the beloved singer whose stage time has been tragically curtailed, unless… If ghosts are real, then ghost possession really is far-fetched?
