The director of Jujutsu Kaisen has decided to fuel the hype surrounding the release of his new film. Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The debut season of the anime adaptation of Gege Akutami's original manga series was so successful that the franchise reached unpredictable heights in popularity compared to before the anime began.

Instead of going straight to a second season, a film was announced that would feature the Single volume Jujutsu Kaisen 0who have narrated events in front of those we see in season one. Sunghoo Park, the director who also directed the TV anime, is running the prequel film and recently fueled the hype surrounding its release with a new statement in the latest issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

While the film prepares for its Start in Japan at the end of December (Jujutsu Kaisen 0 doesn't seem to be postponed) Park has not only kept fans up to speed on the movie's development, but also what to expect from the feature film and how he brings the prequel story to the big screen (translated @soukatsu_ on Twitter).

"When I took on the role of director, originally I wanted to start the TV anime series with this magnetic story still in its infancy in Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College, "said Park. Please come and see it in the cinema the night it comes out!" Interestingly, it appears to be there great care in adapting the franchise to a film format for this new experience.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is currently scheduled for release in Japan on December 24th, but unfortunately we don't have any information about the international release yet. There was no evidence yet whether or not the anime will continue with a second television season, but this prequel story not only fills in some very important gaps in the past, it also gives some important clues for the future of the series that can be explored in a full second season.

Finally, we leave you with chapter 162 of Jujutsu Kaisen on Manga Plus and in the company of this amazing cosplay of Nobara and Maki from Jujutsu Kaisen.
