During the event Jump Festival 2022 A new promotional video has been unveiled for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Yuuji kaku, Jigokuraku (Hell’s paradise: Jigokuraku). The video reveals that the production will be carried out by the studios MAPPA, but has not yet confirmed a planned release date.
Kaku has started publishing the manga through the service Shonen Jump Plus from the publisher Shueisha in January 2018 and finalized it in January 2021. The publisher published the twelfth compiled volume in December 2020, followed by the thirteenth and last in April 2021 in Japan. The literary franchise already has more than 3.8 million accumulated copies in circulation.

- Akira kindaichi (Sunmusu: Girls Battle Bootlog the comic) is responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
- Akitsugu Hisagi (Sakamichi no Apollon, One Punch Man, Mirai Nikki) is responsible for character design.
- Yoshiaki dewa (Boku no Hero Academia 2nd season, Shokugeki no Souma, Highschool of the Dead) is responsible for composing the soundtrack.
Summary of Jigokuraku
Gabimaru the Hollow, a ninja from the village of Iwagakure who is known for his cold demeanor, is now on death row. Tired of death and betrayal, he seeks death. However, no method of execution seems to work for him, for Gabimaru, although he does not admit it, still has a reason to be alive. He wants to go home and see his wife, the reason for his happiness and why his work as a murderer began to get in his way. That’s why he refuses to die. Asaemon the Executor, a famous criminal murderer, notices this and makes a proposal to the ninja. She wants Gabimaru to take part in an expedition to an island in southern Japan in search of the elixir of life and in return forgive him for all his crimes. However, this island is not a normal place: it is considered paradise.
