A press release reports that the light novels were written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by meru, I was reincarnated as the 7th prince so I could take my time to perfect my magical skills (Tensei Shitara Dainana Ouji Datta knots, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu), will have an anime adaptation. The press release revealed production details but did not list a planned release date.
Kenkyo na Circle and Meru started publishing the light novels via the imprint K Ranobe Bunko from Kodansha in July 2020. A manga adaptation by Yousuke Kokuzawa has been published through the Magazine Pocket digital service since June 2020. It should be noted that the novels were created independently of the service Shousetsuka ni Narou in October 2019.
