Along with the anticipated third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Hell Paradise – Jigokuraku is the big standard-bearer of the Spring 2023 anime season. Unfortunately, however, the series produced by Studio MAPPA won’t be keeping viewers company, according to a recent leak.
With the already aired premiere, the Viewers got to know Gabimaru “the Arid” by Yamada Sagiri and the premises that bring the events of the story to life. Sentenced to death, Iwagakure’s most powerful ninja has only one chance to see his wife again, and that is to complete the mission entrusted to him by the wife.
In just one episode Studio MAPPA has already won over viewers, who, however, will not remain in the company of the series’ protagonists for long. Several recent leaks have formalized the duration of the anime Hell’s Paradise – Jigokuraku, which was initially believed to be divided into two cours totaling over twenty episodes.
For Hell’s Paradise MAPPA will adopt the same formula as Chainsaw Man. The animated series will only have 13 episodes, so the broadcast will end at the end of June 2023. In this first part of the work, the animation studio will adapt the first of the four narrative arcs of Yuji Kaku’s manga, which has a duration of 16 chapters. The second saga, Lord Tensen’s, is 43 chapters long and is therefore unlikely to be fully adapted in this first season.
