June 23rd will be a relatively important day for fans of the series Hajime no ippohow to unveil the important announcement that has been talked about for several weeks. During this time, the community has suspected a return of the anime, but following the recent leaks, the news would be on the manga.
With ben 129 tank receipts released in Japan, and more than 1000 chapters, George Morikawa’s work has received very special treatment in the anime industry. Implementation of the story of the high school student Ippo Makunouchi that finds refuge and a way out of the drama he was used to in boxing and the teachings of Mamoru Takamura has suffered several interruptions over the years, even changes of direction and even the announcement of a co-production of Madhouse with the MAPPA-Studio, for the series Hajime no Ippo: Rising, which ended in 2014.
Given these irregularities in production and the too many expectations raised by the big announcement, the presentation of a new animated series seemed almost obvious. However, according to the end-reported post shared by @somuskodasai on Twitter, the news would be worrying the publication of the manga chapters also in digital form, from July 1st.
This is certainly relevant announcement for a job that has been going on for 31 years, and yes it fits into another fruit system for the first time, but if the leaks turn out to be true, the disappointment would be almost as great.
Recall that Morikawa claimed to be halfway there about two years ago, and we’ll leave you with the mangaka’s homages to mark the series’ 30th anniversary.
