On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudat, Haikyu!!A special video was released to announce the production of a new film project for the franchise, which will consist of two feature films. The name for this project is Haikyu!! FINAL. Details on the release date of the films or the studio that will be responsible for the animation will be announced later.
A promotional image was also released to commemorate the announcement of this bilogy movie starring Shoyo Hinata.
Haruichi Furudat The publication of the manga began in the magazine Weekly shōnen jump from the publisher shueisha in February 2012 and completed it in July 2020, with the publisher collecting the work in a total of 45 compilation volumes. Four seasons of the project's animated adaptation have been produced to date, totaling 85 episodes.
The first season of 25 episodes aired Spring 2014 (April-June)followed by a 25-episode second season in Fall-2015 (October-December)a third season with ten episodes in Autumn-2016 (October-December) and a fourth season of 25 episodes divided into two parts Winter 2020 (January-March) Y Autumn-2020 (October-December). All seasons were produced by the studios Production IG.
Summary of Haikyuu!!
Shouyou Hinata started playing volleyball after seeing the "little giants" of the sport in elementary school. In his first and last tournament of high school, he suffers a crushing loss to rival Tobio Kageyama. So Hinata joins Karasuno High's volleyball team and swears revenge on Kageyama. However, Kageyama is also on Karasuno's team. The former rivals form a legendary combination with Hinata's agility and Kageyama's precise ball handling. Together they compete in local tournaments and vow to take on the rival school of Karasuno at the national championships.
