On the official site for the new version of the manga written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi, Gintamatitled Gintama: The finaleA new promo video has been released for the upcoming animated special called Gintama: The semifinals. The video shows a fragment of the opening theme of SPYAIR and titled “I want to be …”.
The two-episode special will feature a story that will be a sequel to the film and will premiere on January 15 and 20, 2021 via the Japanese Service dTV. On the other hand, the film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on January 8, 2021, and the production will be carried out by the studios. Bandai Namco Pictures.

Gintama synopsis
The “Amanto”, aliens from space that have invaded the earth and have completely taken over feudal Japan. As a result, a ban on the use of swords was put in place and samurai in Japan are treated with contempt as a result.
However, one man, Gintoki Sakata, still owns a samurai’s heart, although one would not expect it from him due to his love of sweets and his work in the yorozuya (a business that makes everything). Accompanied by Shinpachi Shimura, a boy with glasses and a big heart, in his work; Kagura, a girl with an umbrella and a bottomless belly; and Sadaharu, a giant dog, for his pet. Of course, these strange jobs are not always easy, sometimes you have problems with the police, with the rebels or with murderers, which leads to unfortunate but funny situations.
