The OVA “I paint” was produced by studios Pierrot, Headed by Tadahito mastubayashi and scripts written by Souichi Shimadaand published in December 2015. The summary is described as follows:
Shuu Tsukiyama is a “ghoul”: a creature that eats human flesh and enjoys its meals to the full. One night, Shuu’s long-awaited first bite is disturbed by a sudden flash of light while enjoying the premeditated murder of his dinner. The flash comes from the camera of the student Chie Hori, who presents Shuu with the perfect picture that captures his true nature. The extremely clear shot of a bloody corpse and an overly excited Shuu threatens to reveal his ghoul identity, so Shuu must resolve this situation quickly.
On the other hand, the OVA “Jack” was also produced by studios Pierrot, Headed by Souichi Shimada and scripts written by Chuuji Mikasanoand published in September 2015. The summary is described as follows:
Former baseball player turned criminal Taishi Fura accidentally sees the man-eating “ghoul” known as Lantern injure his old friend and murder another. Before the situation worsens, Fura’s classmate Kishou Arima arrives, since he is indeed an undercover investigator for the Commission of the Counter-Ghoul (CCG), and forces the ghoul to flee. In search of revenge for his friends, Fura teams up with Arima to hunt ghouls in District 13 with the ultimate goal of defeating Lantern.
Eventually, Ishida began publishing the manga in the magazine. Weekly young jump from the publisher Shueisha Completed in September 2011 and September 2014 with a total of 14 volumes. He then published a direct sequel called Tokyo Ghoul: right in the same journal between October 2014 and July 2018 with 16 volumes.
Tokyo Ghoul Synopsis
Tokyo has become a cruel and ruthless city, a place where wild creatures known as “ghouls” coexist with humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages who hunger for human flesh. However, the greatest threat to these ghouls is their dangerous ability to impersonate humans and blend in with society.
The story then follows Ken Kaneki, a shy college student who immediately became interested in Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like him. Rize is not quite what it seems, however, and this unfortunate encounter plunges Kaneki into the dark depths of the inhuman world of the ghouls. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is rescued by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima and begins his new secret life as a half ghoul / half human who has to integrate into both societies.
