On August 1, 1999, seven chosen children were transported to Digimundo by the divices that appeared before them during a summer camp. In Digimundo they met their Digimon, digital monsters that inhabit this place, and through their Digivices and the friendship between the boys and their Digimon these creatures could develop into more powerful forms and fight their enemies. Looking for a way home, the boys discover that they are "the chosen ones" and their job is to save the Digimundo.
The above is the premise of the first cartoon series produced from the multimedia franchise. Digimontitled Digimon adventure and published in Japan on March 7, 1999.
