About three weeks after the last report, TOHO released the updated sales data for Detective Conan: The Scarlet Orb, the 24th film in the saga dedicated to the brilliant Conan Edogawa. One month after its launch, the film grossed 5.9 billion yen (about 45 million euros) and placed 4.23 million tickets at home alone.

Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet was released in Japanese theaters on April 16. over 2.2 billion yen on the first weekend (Approximately EUR 17 million). On the same day, the film was simultaneously broadcast in 22 other countries, including China, for the equivalent of 30 million euros. Today, May 10, 2021, TOHO confirmed that the film has nearly tripled its revenue in Japan and announced that data from other countries will be arriving soon.

Detective Conan: The Scarlet Orb was number 1 at the Japanese box office for four consecutive weekendsclosely followed by Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0. The film is still in the running to become the most profitable film in the franchise, a record currently held by the previous film Detective Conan: The Fist of the Blue Sapphire. To surpass its predecessor, The Scarlet Bullet must top 9.31 billion yen at home and $ 120 million worldwide.
