During the weekend just spent in Japan, Anime Japan 2023 took place, a landmark event for the industry that led to some important announcements such as the release date of Spy x Family 2 and the accompanying anime film.

The theatrical event ANIPLEX TIMES held at the Aniplex booth at Anime Japan 2023 led toofficial announcement of the animated adaptation of Demon Lord 2099the cyberpunk fantasy light novel signed by Daigo Murasaki.

This revelation was accompanied by a Promotional poster designed by novel illustrator Kureta. Author Murasaki said he was surprised by the news about the adaptation and hopes viewers will appreciate the animated version of his work.

A Demon Lord 2099 animated trailer was released in January 2021 and featured voice actors Satoshi Hino (Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord) and Miku Ito (Miku Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Demon Lord Veltol and Machina Soleige. The novel has been published under Kadokawa since 2021 and was nominated for the 33rd Fantasia Taisho Award. A manga adaptation was drawn by Kiiro Akashiro for Kadokawa's Shonen Ace+. We remind you that at Anime Japan 2023 two projects related to Blue Lock were also announced.
