Volume 92 of Batman featured a character who managed to win the hearts of millions of DC fans in just a few months. Punchline, as the new antagonist is called, was successful enough to convince the publisher to give the go-ahead for a one-shot, which was published by James Tynion IV, Sam Johns and Mirka Andolfo and is due to appear in November.

The author commented on the success of his original character as follows: “A while back when I was introducing Punchline to the audience, I made it clear that he wasn’t going to be a supporting character. I’ve always had big plans for her, and as the Joker War draws to a close, her part of the story is far from over. I can’t wait to share this one-shot with you as we will expand its past and lay the foundation for its future. With me will be the talented Sam Johns and the incredible Mirka Andolfo!“.

You can take a look at the cover below, in which the girl’s face is shown for the first time. Punchline # 1 will record the transformation of young Alexis Kaye into a ruthless killer and be available in North America on November 10th.
