After Kaguya’s defeat in Naruto: Shippuden it was believed that the Otsutsuki were now extinct, but the demigods made a massive return in the sequel Boruto: Naruto the next generations. Will the Blattdorf and the entire ninja world be able to withstand this new conflict?

However, chapter 53 of the Boruto manga has one large texture hole regarding the Otsutsuki clan. When Momoshiki appeared with Kinshiki in Boruto: Naruto the Movie, he claimed that he only knew of Kaguya’s existence. On the pages of the manga it is later revealed that Kaguya comes to earth in the company of another Otsutsuki, who is betrayed by her. The injured Isshiki would then secretly take control of Jigen’s body to be reborn, waiting in silence for Kaguya’s defeat.

The problem arises from the fact that Momoshiki later claims to know Isshiki too. But if that were the case, instead of fighting Naruto and Sasuke, he could have done it chase jigs, a much more favorable fight than the one that marked his defeat.

This plot hole is also compounded by the fact that Jigen with Isshiki has been lurking for years instead of trying take Kaguya down during the fight with Naruto. In addition, at the moment of their sudden appearance, Kara’s leader could also have hit Momoshiki and Kinshiki. While we wait for the background of Otsutsuki to be deepened, we discover the new technique Kawaki is using in Boruto.
