There are many enemies uncovered after millennia of restraint Bleach: Thousand Years of Blood War. The Quincy, those beings who once ruled Soul Society and the other world alongside the Shinigami, have been driven out and have now returned to seek revenge, led by the powerful and mysterious Yhwach.
There is still much to reveal about him, with much of the content destined for the second part of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, which will be released later in 2023. Meanwhile, however, already some characters, not only among the enemies, have turned out to be a completely different person. The case of Unohana Retsu has certainly caused quite a stir. The woman has long been remembered as a calm person, head of the medical department of Gotei 13, the fourth department. In the various bouts that followed, he never showed the slightest bloodlust or great skill beyond shikai and bankai with the zanpakutΕ.
However, in one of the final episodes of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, the woman was forced to reveal who she really is. In reality, she is a Captain since time immemorial and one of Soul Society’s most dangerous shinigami and it was especially the first kenpachi. The challenge with her was therefore fundamental to the development of Zaraki, who needs to understand her powers.
And one paraded in front of him Unohana Kenpachi as in this cosplay. There is no longer the quiet and gentle Unohana Retsu who appeared in the first series of Bleach, instead there is this woman with an ethereal gaze who, sword drawn, surely bodes ill for the unfortunate person who must face her.
Another mystery is that of Ichigo’s mother, which was solved in one of the final episodes of the season.
