Attack On Titan 4: The staff talk about the final season, from the ninth to the twelfth episode

The production team of Attack on Titan 4 He shared his thoughts on the final season of the anime, especially the first part. The comments came during an event for the series in November last year. Well, thanks to the site attack on fanswe were able to translate the statements from English.

• Episode 68: “Brave Volunteers”

director Daisuke Niinuma: “The scenes of happened on the island of paradise, the happy expressions on everyone’s faces, including Sasha before her death, reminded me of previous seasons and made me nostalgic. There’s quite a lot of content-heavy storytelling this season, so it’s great to dig into those scenes. The Eren we see before nightfall (?) in episodes 68 and 69 is fantastic. Personally, I paid attention to Floch’s hairdoeven if it only appears briefly.”

• Episode 69: “A Solid Argument”

The director Kaori Makita: “Episode 69 didn’t have any spectacular battles, but it was an episode with a lot of information related to the basis of the story. The scene of the 104th Cadet Corps conversation at sunset was very suggestive. In Connie and Sasha’s conversation, walking a fine line between gag and serious, we were able to reproduce the exquisite expressions and questions of the original story in the anime. The voice acting performances were excellent“.

• Episode 70: “Cheaters”

The animation director Michelle Sugimoto: “By episode 70, I thought the worldview would be less convincing if the little things weren’t drawn properly, let alone the characters. The stew served in the Blouse House has also been revised. It was It’s interesting to hear the line “That’s delicious!” by Falko, the first character I drew in Attack On Titan. This allowed me to follow Gabi’s different facial expressions and actions, and it was a lot of fun.”

• Episode 71: “Leader”

director Yuichiro Hayashi: “The most discreet episode of the last season. Or should I say she’s strict. It’s mostly a political drama about a group of soldiers who find themselves in the middle of the Jaegerist revolt, so the visuals are a bit weak even with all the veterans. I like the way Zackly dies.”
