Over the decades Weekly shonen jump has published some of the most popular works of all time, such as ONE PICE, Naruto or the newer My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer. The success of these series has often translated into animated adaptations, but have you ever wondered what is the best anime in Shonen Jump?
The Japanese website Goo Ranking recently published a poll asking them to list the best souls that came to life on the pages of Shueisha magazine. Despite everything you can imagine, the winner is not Kimetsu no Yaiba, the work that broke all records last year.
- ONE PIECE (1025 votes)
- Demon Slayer (284 votes)
- Gintama (150 votes)
- Haikyu !! (130 votes)
- Dragonball (111 votes)
- StadtjΓ€ger (35 votes)
- KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops (35 votes)
- Kenshin (32 votes)
- Fist of the North Star (28 votes)
- Kurokos Baksetball (28 votes)
The survey decided a Landslide victory for ONE PIECE, which surpassed the runner-up by over 700 votes, the work of the moment. Inconceivable but true, Dragon Ball is in the top 3 and is fifth behind Haikyuu !! and Gintama. Legendary animes like Naruto, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Captain Tsubasa and Slam Dunk as well as the youngest My Hero Academia and Black Clover, which were outclassed by City Hunter or Kuroko’s Basketball, landed in the top ten.
What do you think of this ranking? What is your favorite animated adaptation from Shonen Jump? In the meantime, let’s find out the best Shonen Jump artist. After Miura’s disappearance, Shonen Jump is at the center of intense criticism. The pace of work is considered unsustainable.
